Manitoulin Song Contest

The Manitoulin Tourism Association (MTA) would like to enlist your help. The MTA would like to throw a little challenge at everyone-- who lives here, has ever been, or longs in their heart for the paradise known as Manitoulin-- to participate in a song writing contest.
If you are chosen, your Manitoulin song will be featured on the Manitoulin Tourism Association new website. We would like to invite all musicians, young and old, country, rock, or soul. Basically anyone who has a secret passion for music to send us their song, who knows “you” might be the new voice of Manitoulin Tourism.

Filming Manitoulin Life - DVD Release

The Manitoulin Living film project wrapped up filming this past fall and the promotional video/DVD for Manitoulin Island is scheduled for release at the end of March.

Cinematographer Harry Makin, known throughout Northern Ontario for his work on the television series Rainbow Country in the late 1960's (but more widely recognized for his extensive work in commercials, National Geographic and film) generously donated his time and talents to the project.

The Manitoulin Photo Contest Closes in April

Think you might have a good photo or two of Manitoulin Island? Enter your photo in 2008/9 Manitoulin Island Photo Contest. Entry date closes in April 2009. Winners will be announced at the Manitoulin Trade Fair.

The contest is open to all and contest details are available on the Manitoulin Living website.
